Kattovit Feline Diet – KIDNEY/Renal has been specially developed to provide cats with a reduced protein content through the use of high quality protein in an easily digestible composition. High protein levels can have a damaging effect on the kidneys. The decisive factor is the protein content in relation to the amount of energy. With Kattovit KIERE/Renal, in contrast to conventional food, only around half of the energy comes from protein. The enrichment with potassium citrate has a urinary alkalinizing effect and can therefore prevent the formation of oxalate crystals (oxalate prophylaxis). The phosphorus content is reduced.
